How to plan an EV highway route without range anxiety
Use conservative range, verified charging stops and a backup plan—not a single optimistic route estimate.

Plan the route in legs
Keep each normal driving leg within a conservative range buffer. Consider speed, elevation, temperature, passengers and luggage instead of assuming the certified number will always repeat.
Verify chargers before relying on them
Check connector compatibility, current operating status, access hours, payment method and a second usable stop. A charger listed on a map is not automatically a dependable stop.
Next checks
Do a trial route before a critical family trip, preserve arrival buffer, and use the vehicle's navigation and charging tools alongside independent route verification.
