Recommendation methodology

AutoFlux starts with constraints, not popularity. Vehicle class, budget, seating, charging or fuelling access, recurring trip length, highway use, and practical needs can exclude an option before ranking begins.

Eligible exact variants are then ranked using purchase headroom, expected running cost, access to charging, highway suitability, service reach, and evidence confidence. We return no more than three recommendations and show the trade-offs and next checks for each.

Five-year known cost includes indicative ex-showroom price, catalogue energy or fuel estimate, and reviewed scheduled-service cost. Insurance, finance, resale value, battery replacement, tyres, and unscheduled repairs are excluded unless explicitly stated.
